2013 Park(ing) Day

Our streetscape intervention explores the concepts of what it means to have public green space. The design visually expresses the fun and functional enjoyment of the undulating verdant lawn.

Park(ing) day is a national one day event designed to promote the value of cities' parks. Flint has more green space than most cities in the country. To celebrate the wealth of parks, local people created mini-parks in downtown parking spaces.
