2006-2007 – Project Designer for Gruen Associates - Los Angeles, CA

2008 - Passed LEED AP New Construction Exam v. 2.2

2009 - Completed Architectural Review Examination v. 3.1

July - Participated in Emerging Professionals Brainstorm Session at AIA MI

September - Led design and construction of AIA Flint Park(ing) Day installation

September - Attended AIAMI Michigan Design Retreat Torch Lake, MI

October - Awarded University Partners - Class II Leadership Training

  A student leadership program modeled on Leadership Detroit

December - Elected to 2013-2014 AIA Young Architect Regional Director for the   Michigan Region. Part of the AIA Young Architects Forum


2013


January - Elected to AIA Flint Chapter Chair of the Emerging Professionals Committee.

January – Launched Flint Flat Lot Competition

January - Attended AIA MI Leadership Conference

March - Attended AIA National Grassroots Convention - Washington D.C.

March – Mark’s House chosen as winner of Flint Flat Lot Competition

March – Coordinated monthly skype meetings with engineers and designers   acting as Architect of Record on behalf of AIA Flint.

April - Participated as a Panelist with Mickey Jacob, AIA National President at Lawrence Technological University on the “Future of the Profession”

April - Received D. James Walker Jr. Memorial Scholarship from the Michigan   Architectural Foundation

May – Mark’s House Received Special Planning Approval from the City of Flint   Zoning Board of Appeals
